Col Keittany and Maj Magondu laid to rest in Eldama Ravine and Nyeri.

ELDAMA RAVINE/NYERI: The late Col. Duncan Keittany, who tragically perished in the military helicopter crash last week, has been laid to rest at his home in Eldama Ravine sub-county.

Col. Keittany was one of the nine military officers who lost their lives on April 18, 2024, alongside Chief of Defense Forces Gen. Francis Ogolla.

Family and friends fondly remembered the former military officer as a patriotic Kenyan who epitomized selfless service to his country.

Meanwhile, several kilometers away in Nyri county, the burial ceremony of Major George Benson Magondu was underway at Karimeno village. Major Magondu’s promising career was cut short by the tragic crash.

At just 31 years old, Major Magondu had already achieved the rank of Major, showcasing his dedication and commitment to his military career.”
