Glowing tributes as Plan International exits Siaya.

Siaya: Plan International is bidding farewell to Siaya County after two decades of transformative initiatives and projects within the community. Having commenced operations in Bondo and Rarieda 23 years ago, the international organization has now concluded all its activities, having collaborated closely with the county government.

Plan’s Country Director, George Otim, highlighted the organization’s success in reducing teenage pregnancy during its tenure in Siaya County. “Teenage pregnancy has seen a significant decline thanks to our activities and those of other organizations working toward the same goal,” he stated.

Furthermore, the quality training provided to adolescents has led to notable achievements, with representatives from Siaya poised to showcase their successes on the international stage. “We have individuals from Siaya who will proudly represent us on the global platform,” concluded Otim.
