Erick Omondi lights the world of a disabled girl in Ugunja.

Comedian Erick Omondi extended his philanthropic reach to Uhui sub-location in Ugunja sub-county by sponsoring a disabled girl’s return to school.

Agnes Kweyu, 14, had previously dropped out of Arise and Shine Special School due to financial constraints. Coming from a modest background, her parents had no choice but to keep her at home, as conventional schools couldn’t accommodate her disability.

The plight of Agnes reached Samuel Indakwa, the sub-chief of Uhui sub-location, who shared her story with Erick Omondi.

Touched by her situation, Erick Omondi made the journey to the village, presenting Agnes with a wheelchair and enrolling her in Sigomere Small Homes Special School.

Agnes couldn’t contain her happiness as she donned a new uniform, ready to embark on her educational journey.

Erick Omondi’s act of kindness has earned him widespread praise from Kenyans, particularly for his previous efforts in rescuing flood victims in Mathare and other waterlogged areas.
