Reports indicate that a bus belonging to Naboka Sacco, en route from Gataka in Kajiado North to Karen in Nairobi, veered off the road and plunged into Mbagathi River near Cooperative University of Kenya.
The incident has resulted in 9 deaths; 6 individuals tragically lost their lives on the spot, while the other three succumbed to their injuries while being rushed to the hospital.
Additionally, 17 passengers have sustained injuries and are currently receiving treatment.
This unfortunate event adds to a series of similar incidents where vehicles have tragically ended up submerged in swollen rivers, claiming the lives of many Kenyans.
