The picture featuring President William Ruto and the late Chief of Defence Force Gen Francis Ogolla, alongside Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and his security aide, has sparked considerable debate online.
Remarkably, out of the four individuals captured in the image, only President Ruto remains alive today.
Tragically, fate took a grim turn for the other three individuals. On April 18th, in West Pokot, Gen Ogolla, along with eight other senior military officials, perished in a helicopter crash.
The general had been inspecting various projects in the North Rift when the tragic incident occurred, with only one person miraculously surviving the crash.
Just one month later, Iranian President Raisi, along with his aide, met a similar fate in a crash along the remote border of Iran and Azerbaijan.
All seven passengers aboard the helicopter, including the head of state, lost their lives in the tragic accident.
Both incidents have prompted investigations to determine the causes of the crashes. While authorities seek answers regarding the circumstances surrounding President Raisi’s demise, the Kenyan government is also conducting its investigation into the crash that claimed the life of Gen Ogolla.
