Club Oxygen Siaya to have candlelight ceremony to honor Njambi Koikai

Club Oxygen in Siaya town will host a candlelight ceremony to honor the memory of the late reggae queen, Njambi Koikai.

It was at this very club where she delivered one of her final performances. Following her show in Siaya, she held another event in Kinoru before she was admitted.

On Saturday, March 30th, Jambi Koikai mesmerized the audience with an electrifying performance at Club Oxygen in Siaya. This unique reggae showcase attracted numerous reggae enthusiasts from Siaya, as Club Oxygen is renowned for dedicating entire weekends to reggae rhythms.

Although her performance was scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. and continue late into the night, she arrived relatively late, around 9 p.m., according to Vincent Seda, the facility manager.

“It was a highly anticipated show,” said Mr. Seda. “All reggae lovers will attest that Fyah Mumah was an exceptional entertainer who made reggae truly enjoyable. Her arrival at 9 p.m. transformed the atmosphere.”

Mr. Seda further noted that the reggae queen exhibited strength and delivered her best performance on stage. “We were taken aback to learn that the Siaya show was one of her last,” he added. “It was heartbreaking because she had promised us another electrifying performance, and she appeared strong and healthy onstage.”

On that very day, the late Njambi posted on her Facebook page, “We pray for healing, strength, courage, guidance, protection, and peace of mind. Happy Easter, fam. See you tonight in Siaya at Club Oxygen Siaya and tomorrow at Kinoru Stadium.”

Her voice, resonating through the reggae rhythms, captivated the entire town and drew them to Club Oxygen.
