Mara Sugar Crowned NSL champions as slum boys, Mathare get a ticket to the League

Mara Sugar clinched the 2023-2024 National Super League (NSL) title with a narrow crucial 1-0 victory over Mathare in a Round 37 showdown at Awendo Green Stadium.

This triumph not only solidified their earlier qualification for the upcoming FKF Premier League season but also capped off a historic season as they secured the top position with a game to spare.

Despite the loss, Mathare now takes pride in their second-place finish in the NSL standings.

Their impressive season marked a strong comeback after relegation from the FKF Premier League last year, showcasing resilience and determination throughout the campaign.

The millers now have a game with the Vihiga Bullets next week to crown the season.
