Police in Ugenya are actively seeking a motorist who fled the scene after hitting a pedestrian at Got Nanga this morning.
The incident, which occurred at 8:30 am, tragically resulted in the death of the pedestrian.
According to a police incident report obtained by Kondele News, the unidentified driver was traveling from Kisumu towards Busia when the collision took place.
The victim, an adult male estimated to be around 30 years old, was struck and thrown off the road, succumbing to his injuries immediately.
“The unknown motorist drove away from the scene after hitting the pedestrian,” the report stated.
Authorities have transported the deceased’s body to Ambira Sub-County Hospital mortuary, where it awaits a post-mortem examination.
