Raila Odinga Junior distances himself from his father Raila Odinga after social media spat

Raila Odinga Junior, son of ODM leader Raila Odinga, has emphasized his individuality separate from his father, asserting that having the same name does not define their identities.

Taking to his social media platform, Raila Odinga Junior expressed the importance of treating each person as a distinct individual.

He posted, “Everybody is an individual please! Even people with the same exact names.”

This statement follows criticism directed at the Azimio leader, Raila Odinga, particularly from Generation Z individuals, after he mentioned the possibility of dialogue between select youth groups, the opposition, and the government.

The Gen Z cohort vehemently opposed such dialogue, insisting on continuing protests until the government commits to better governance.

Additionally, other Azimio la Umoja principals distanced themselves from Raila Odinga’s stance.

Azimio Deputy Presidential candidate Martha Karua labeled the dialogue plans as attempts to derail the reform agenda championed by Generation Z.

Others declining to support the dialogue included Jeremiah Kioni of the Jubilee party and DAP-Kenya leader Eugene Wamalwa.
