Tragedy at Kitu Moto Resort: A Night of Celebration Turns Deadly

Siaya town is still reeling from the shocking events that unfolded at Kitu Moto Resort over the weekend, leaving locals and travelers in a state of disbelief.

What began as a night of joy and revelry ended in tragedy, with two lives lost and many left haunted by the chilling sounds of violence.

The ill-fated night was supposed to be one of fun and merrymaking, but it quickly spiraled out of control.

According to police reports, a heated argument broke out among a group of friends at the resort’s popular night club. In the midst of the chaos, a security guard, Ben Peter, aged 30, bravely stepped in to defuse the situation. But instead of peace, his intervention led to a brutal and fatal turn of events.

One of the revelers, identified as 35-year-old Brian Otieno Ogolla, pulled out a knife during the confrontation.

In a shocking act of violence, he stabbed the watchman twice in the chest. Despite efforts to rush Ben to Siaya Referral Hospital, he succumbed to his injuries upon arrival.

The horror didn’t end there. Witnesses who had seen the gruesome scene unfold took matters into their own hands.

Fueled by rage and a desire for justice, the crowd outside the club descended on Brian, delivering a brutal beating in a case of mob justice.

The situation was so dire that police officers had to fire six warning shots into the air to disperse the enraged crowd.

Despite their efforts to rescue Brian and rush him to the hospital, his injuries were too severe. The police later confirmed that Brian, too, died while receiving treatment at Siaya Referral Hospital.

The dual deaths have left the community in shock, with many questioning how a night of celebration could turn so deadly.

The events at Kitu Moto Resort serve as a stark reminder of how quickly things can spiral out of control, turning joy into sorrow and leaving a lasting impact on all those involved.
