It is all systems go for the thanksgiving ceremony of Energy CS Opiyo Wandayi in Ugunja.

The ceremony, which will be graced by President William Ruto, is scheduled to begin at 2 pm when the guests are expected to have arrived.

The arena is arranged to provide ample space for VIPs, while members of the public will also have adequate space to follow all the proceedings.

President Ruto’s itinerary for the day includes a visit to Mageta Island in the morning, followed by the commissioning of the construction of the Siaya Modern Market.

He will then proceed to the Siriwo Rice Mill in Usonga.

From Usonga, the head of state will travel to Ugunja to attend the thanksgiving ceremony alongside the former National Assembly Minority Leader.

Mr. Wandayi, who was serving his third term as the Ugunja lawmaker, was nominated by the ODM party following a power-sharing deal between ODM party leader Raila Odinga and President Ruto.
