Pain as a 19-year-old girl is raped and killed in Trans Nzoia

TRANS NZOIA: Tragedy struck a family in Kolongolo in Kwanza constituency, Trans Nzoia County, as police investigate the brutal murder of 19-year-old Eunice Akinyi.

Her lifeless body was discovered in a maize farm just a few kilometers from her home, sparking an outpouring of grief and demands for justice.

Eunice, who had been reported missing for several days, was found lying naked with her hands and legs bound by a sisal rope.

Deep marks on her neck revealed the horrific torture she endured before her death. The shocking discovery has left her family and the entire community reeling.

The tragedy began when Eunice left home to collect her leaving certificate from Kesse Secondary School but never returned.

Her parents, Beatrice Barasa and Robert Masika, grew increasingly worried as night fell and their daughter remained missing.

The following day, a desperate search by family and local residents yielded no clues, prompting them to report her disappearance to the police.

As investigations continue, Eunice’s family is calling for a thorough probe to ensure the perpetrators are swiftly brought to justice.

The young woman had recently completed her secondary education and was set to start a beauty course at college, making her untimely death all the more heartbreaking.

The motive behind Eunice’s murder remains a mystery, leaving the community in fear and mourning.

The residents of Kolongolo are united in their plea for answers and justice for a promising life cut tragically short.
