Sad ending for the missing taxi driver, Victoria Mumbua, body found in city mortuary

NAIROBI CITY CRIME: The family of the missing taxi driver, Victoria Mumbua, has confirmed that the body registered as ‘unknown’ at the City Mortuary belongs to their relative.

Meshack Kingi, the deceased’s brother, confirmed the identification.

“She is the one. Her body was picked from Maai Mahiu and booked at the City Mortuary as unknown,” said Mr. Kingi.

The family is now awaiting a post-mortem examination before making funeral arrangements.

The body was discovered in a thicket in Maai Mahiu and brought to the City Mortuary on September 29, 2024.

Detectives from the Criminal Intelligence and Research Bureau, who had been profiling the main suspect, Edwin Ng’etich, were instrumental in the discovery.

As previously reported, Ng’etich was arrested in Nakuru while driving Mumbua’s vehicle. During intense questioning, Ng’etich revealed details that led the police to the location where the body was dumped.
