Kisumu Police and the DCI arrest a murder suspect who has been eluding arrest

KONDELE: Police officers from Kondele Police Station have successfully arrested an elusive murder suspect, Oliver Ochieng Jaoko, also known as Olivert.

Ochieng’s arrest follows his involvement in the brutal murders of Evans Opiyo and Mohammed Saleh on July 1, 2024, at Kibuye Market.

The violent incident erupted over a dispute regarding control of proceeds from five washrooms at the bustling market.

According to a report from the DCI on their official social media handle, Ochieng vanished after committing the heinous acts, successfully evading capture for weeks.

A manhunt was launched, and acting on a tip-off, he was located and apprehended in his hideout in the Manyatta area.

The DCI expresses its gratitude to the public for their continued support in sharing valuable information that aids in the fight against criminal activities.
