Bungoma: Police in Bungoma are holding a police officer attached to Bungoma GK prison for attempting to kidnap a female motorist in Bungoma town.

The officer, identified as Police Constable Zeddy Ouma, was accompanied by four men on a motorcycle during the incident.

According to a police incident report obtained by Kondele News, the situation escalated when the daughter of the woman, who was a passenger in the vehicle, screamed for help.

The report states, “At around 1830hrs, while driving her motor vehicle from Ranje to KCC area and on reaching Mteremuko Bridge within Ranje area, Khalaba was blocked by four unknown men using a motorcycle.”

The commotion attracted the attention of nearby residents, prompting the men to flee. While some of the suspects escaped, the public managed to apprehend Constable Ouma.

He is currently in police custody, awaiting arraignment as investigations into the incident continu
