President William Ruto showcased his athletic prowess today by defeating all participants in a 100-meter friendly race during the 14th East African Parliamentary Games in Mombasa.
Among those he bested were Senate Speaker Amason Kingi, National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula, Cabinet Secretary Hassan Joho, and Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Nassir.
The annual games brought together members of parliament and leaders from the eight East African Community (EAC) member states to promote unity and collaboration.
This year’s event came shortly after President Ruto assumed the chairmanship of the EAC, succeeding South Sudan’s President Salva Kiir.
President Ruto emphasized the importance of fostering cohesion among member states through such initiatives.
