ISIOLO: Police officers at Archer’s Police Post have arrested a notorious lone highway robber who has been terrorizing truck drivers along the Isiolo-Garbatula junction.

The suspect, 36-year-old Ibrahim Hassan, was apprehended after a high-speed chase that ended in a dramatic crash near the police post.

Sensing an opportunity, the driver jumped out of the moving truck and ran to the nearby Archer’s Police Post, where he reported the incident. Officers immediately launched a pursuit.

Desperate to escape, Hassan took control of the lorry and sped toward Isiolo town, unknowingly heading straight back into the hands of law enforcement.

In a panic, he veered off the main road and crashed into a tree, where officers arrested him. A search of his belongings uncovered a panga, a knife, and a screwdriver, confirming his criminal intent.Hassan is currently in custody and undergoing processing for arraignment.
