For decades, Coca-Cola has been a key part of Valentine’s Day celebrations, symbolizing love and shared moments.
Now, the beverage giant is rekindling nostalgia with its Returnable Glass Bottle campaign, inviting Kenyans to rediscover the joy of enjoying Coca-Cola in its classic glass bottle—a tradition deeply woven into the country’s social fabric.
The campaign, running nationwide across Nairobi, Eastern, Western, Nyanza, Coast, Rift Valley, and Mount Kenya, aims to revive appreciation for returnable glass bottles while fostering community engagement.

Since January, Coca-Cola teams have been traveling across 40 counties, organizing interactive events and encouraging consumers to embrace the timeless glass bottle experience.
The initiative has resonated with communities, bringing back cherished memories while offering an affordable refreshment option.
In Busia County, residents such as Akijara John, Rodgers Ikal, and Justus Ojello lauded Coca-Cola for its well-preserved flavor and accessible packaging.
“This is a sweet drink, and we appreciate Coca-Cola for providing it to us early this morning. We urge the company to continue manufacturing it, even at the cost of Ksh 20,” said Ojello, and supported by the other friends.
At just KES 20 for a 200ml bottle, the returnable glass bottle remains a popular choice for students, families, and social gatherings.
Beyond its affordability, it represents a shared experience—whether enjoyed ice-cold or at room temperature.
As Coca-Cola continues to embrace innovation, its returnable glass bottle stands as a timeless symbol of connection and community. More than just a drink, it is a cultural touchstone that unites Kenyans, one bottle at a time
