Walking out disgraced; Alliance Girls Teacher Resigns Amid Sexual Misconduct Allegations

Peter Albert Ayiro, a veteran teacher at Alliance Girls High School, has resigned from the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) following allegations of sexual misconduct.

In a resignation letter dated August 17, 2025, Ayiro said he had been forced to step down after enduring what he described as “false accusations” and relentless public attacks that had taken a toll on his personal and professional life.

“This decision has not come easily. I continue to endure cyberbullying, threats of physical harm, and public humiliation,” Ayiro wrote, adding that the allegations had subjected him to unbearable stress.

The 26-year teaching veteran insisted he was innocent but explained that resigning was the only way to safeguard his dignity and peace of mind.

He confirmed remitting a month’s salary in lieu of notice and asked the TSC to guide him through the exit process.

Ayiro’s resignation comes as investigations into sexual misconduct claims continue.

The case has attracted national attention, particularly after Africa Uncensored published reports alleging abuse and grooming at the prestigious girls’ school.

Beyond his teaching duties, Ayiro also served as the Christian Union patron, a role that placed him in close contact with students.

The TSC is yet to issue a formal statement on his resignation as investigations remain ongoing.
