MSS Forces led my Kenyans overpower Haiti Gang to recapture Telcos

HAITI: The city of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, has lived for too long under a shroud of fear.

At its heart, the Télcos Station, once a vital hub for the community, had become a grim symbol of that fear, held captive by a vicious gang led by a figure known only as “Izo2.”

But in the early hours of Monday morning, the usual sounds of despair were replaced by a new, more hopeful rhythm.

Between 1:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m., a coordinated night operation was launched by the Kenyan-led Multinational Security Support Mission (MSS) working alongside the Haitian National Police (PNH). Their objective: to reclaim the region and restore a sense of security.

The security forces moved with methodical precision, conducting a sweep that went door-to-door to neutralize armed resistance.

The gangs, caught off guard by the swift and decisive action, suffered heavy losses. As the night wore on, several individuals attempting to flee were apprehended, and a significant cache of weapons and other materials was seized, now in the custody of the PNH.

But the mission didn’t end with the recapture of the station. As dawn broke, teams from both the MSS and PNH began the painstaking task of clearing the roadblocks that had turned once-busy routes into impassable barriers.

With each obstruction removed, a lifeline was restored, re-establishing safe passage for the local communities of Télcos and Kenscoff.

In a joint statement, PNH Director General Vladimir Paraison and MSS Force Commander Godfrey Otunge sent a clear message: the era of impunity for these gangs is coming to an end.

They vowed that those who continue to bear arms will face decisive action and confirmed that more targeted operations are already in the works.

Beyond the military success, the leaders extended their heartfelt gratitude to the residents of Télcos and Kenscoff.

They recognized the community’s cooperation and resilience, assuring them of continued protection and a renewed commitment to restoring peace.

For the people who have endured so much, this wasn’t just a military operation; it was a glimmer of hope—a sign that their community can begin to heal and rebuild.
