KISII: Police in Kisii County have apprehended two bar attendants following the death of a 25-year-old man, Job Momanyi, who died from injuries sustained during a dispute on New Year’s Day.
Preliminary investigations suggest the conflict began at a local drinking establishment when Momanyi and his friends were reportedly unable to settle their bill.
A violent altercation ensued, leaving Momanyi and another patron injured.
Elsewhere in the neighboring county of Nyamira, authorities are investigating the mysterious death of Charles Magak Owino, whose body was found along the Miruka–Masosa road.
The 60-year-old was discovered with visible injuries, though his personal belongings were found intact nearby.
Police have noted that the circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear, and they are working to establish both a motive and the cause of death.
