Former Nairobi governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has lheaped praise on Corporal Jacob Ogendo, the police officer who was assaulted by Ian Njoroge, describing him as an incredibly trustworthy officer.
Sonko commended Ogendo’s integrity, stating that he would entrust him with large sums of money without fear of theft.
The former county boss revealed that he had entrusted Ogendo with substantial amounts of money in the past, and the officer had never failed to maintain honesty and professionalism.
Ogendo, who sustained serious injuries from the assault, is currently undergoing recovery at a hospital in Nairobi.
Taking to his social media handle, Sonko expressed his admiration for his former bodyguard with the following post;
“Corporal Jacob Ogendo, the cop who was assaulted by Ian Njoroge, was a very trustworthy officer. I used to send him with millions of shillings he would not steal even a coin. Unfortunately, the system withdrew him as my escort”.
