Embakasi East Member of Parliament, Babu Owino, has dismissed the purported feud between President William Ruto and his deputy, Rigathi Gachagua, as nothing more than a political charade.
The seasoned lawmaker asserted that the media portrayal of discord is carefully orchestrated to garner sympathy and support for Mr. Gachagua from the Mount Kenya region, with the ultimate goal of facilitating their collaboration in 2022.
“There is no genuine conflict between President Ruto and his deputy. They are merely playing games with the public, aiming for your renewed support in 2027,” Mr. Owino emphasized.
He went on to highlight, “I want to address the Mount Kenya region, as I am your in-law. These individuals promised you the world but delivered disappointment. They are now manipulating circumstances to deceive you once more, coaxing your votes in 2027 through orchestrated reconciliation tactics.”
Encouraging the Mt. Kenya populace to align themselves with Azimio la Umoja and forsake Kenya Kwanza, the lawmaker elucidated the scripted nature of the political maneuvers unfolding.
He suggested that a significant portion of the electorate would rally behind Gachagua out of sympathy, falling prey to the political theatrics at play.
