You chose 10 wives and concubines while I bought chopper, Didmus Barasa tells Boni Khalwale

Kimilili Member of Parliament Didmus Barasa has criticized Kakamega Senator Bonny Khalwale for his remarks about owning a chopper.

Barasa, who is vying for the Bungoma gubernatorial seat, expressed strong disapproval of Khalwale’s comments.

Dr Khalwale, while addressing the senate, said “My tribesman, the young lawmaker Didmus Barasa should take it easy on choppers.”

Taking to his social media page, Barasa launched a scathing attack on the senator, suggesting that Khalwale should prioritize a small family and quality life instead of investing in marrying multiple women.

“I have heard you mention me in the Senate proceedings regarding my purchase of a helicopter. Indeed, this is true. I made a choice between having one wife, a helicopter and trusting in God. In contrast, you chose a Nissan Patrol, ten wives, over twenty-five concubines, fathered forty-six known children, and maintaining 35 houses for hood rats across the Country,” he posted.

He went on, “Maintaining such a large family and numerous homes is exponentially more expensive than having one wife, one helicopter, and three children. You just an old superficial and misleading fela.”

Early this year, Mr Barasa opted to buy a chopper which he has been using to campaign in the vast Bungoma County.
