The Kenya Defence Force (KDF) officers who survived the crush that killed CDF Gen Francis Ogola and other nine occupants cannot explain how he got out of the chopper.
Karanja Mogire, a son of an elder from SDA Riverside Church survived with injuries, the other nine occupants died.
Meanwhile, preparations for the final farewell are already underway, with the burial committee meticulously organizing the solemn proceedings in accordance with the late CDF’s wishes of being interred within 72 hours without a coffin.
Amidst the sorrow, the widows who once found solace in the generosity of the departed general now find themselves overwhelmed with grief.
Canon Hezekiah Oduor laments the uncertainty facing these women, whose livelihoods were sustained by the compassion of their benefactor.
“We don’t know what will happen to these widows who benefitted from his generosity,” said Canon Oduor.
