Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja was taken aback today upon discovering that his name was absent from the UDA party register.
Unable to take part in the ongoing party primaries, governor Sakaja was forced to sit with other members of the public who were waiting too.
The governor had previously expressed interest in contesting the county party chairman position.
The UDA party was conducting grassroots elections in various counties today, including Nairobi, Busia, Homa Bay, and others.
President William Ruto, who serves as the UDA party leader, had directed these grassroots elections to facilitate the smooth operation of party affairs
