Bunge FC to open Siaya Stadium officially in August, Otiende Amolo.

Bunge FC is gearing up for the inaugural match at Siaya Stadium, scheduled upon its completion in August, Otiende Amolo, the team’s captain and lawmaker, made the announcement during his visit to the stadium today.

“We are determined to host the first match between Bunge FC and a team of lawmakers from outside Kenya. This historic event will precede the Gor Mahia fixture,” Dr. Otiende stated.

Accompanied by Siaya Governor James Orengo, Migori Senator Eddy Okech, Kisumu Deputy Governor Mathews Owili, and other leaders, Dr. Otiende, who plays center defense, emphasized the significance of the occasion.

Senator Okech, also a member of Bunge FC, praised the project’s significance, highlighting its potential to stimulate economic activity in the region.

“The social amenity aspect of this project is monumental; it will spur investment opportunities in the county. The pivotal role sports play in society, coupled with the community’s sporting potential, cannot be overstated,” remarked the Migori lawmaker.

He pledged to advocate for increased funding allocations to enable governors to undertake similar projects.

“The transformative impact of such initiatives demonstrates the capabilities of our governors. As custodians of devolution, it is incumbent upon us as senators to support and facilitate such endeavors,” Senator Okech concluded.
