SIAYA: family in Kalkada Uradi, Siaya County, was plunged into shock when a woman abandoned her child’s lifeless body at her marital home.
Elizabeth Adhiambo, arrived home with her two children and left shortly after excusing herself for a moment, never to return.
According to Carolyn Atieno, her sister-in-law, Elizabeth arrived home yesterday evening with her two children, a four-year-old boy and a two-and-a-half-year-old girl.
“She had divorced her husband some time ago and had taken the children with her. Today, she returned with them and left them at her mother-in-law’s house,” Carolyn explained.
Carolyn continued, “When she arrived, she said the boy was asleep and placed him on the couch. She then excused herself, claiming she needed to use the latrine. Instead, she bypassed the latrine, hopped onto a waiting motorbike, and sped off, never to be seen again.”
It was only when the mother-in-law attempted to move the boy to bed that she discovered he was lifeless. “She was shocked to find the boy had passed away,” Carolyn said.
