By OCHIENG CLINTON: A 45-year-old woman from Uloma Village in Sigomre Ward, Ugunja Sub-County, Siaya County, is appealing for urgent assistance as the rainy season begins, saying she has endured years of exposure to the elements due to inadequate shelter.

The woman says she has been forced to endure harsh weather conditions for the past five years and is now appealing to well-wishers, including local leaders and politicians, to come to her rescue.

She has specifically called on the area Member of County Assembly Andrew Omwende and Ugunja MP Moses Omondi to intervene and help her secure a safe and decent place to live.

With the rains now setting in, she says her situation has become increasingly difficult, raising concerns for her safety and wellbeing.

She is now urging leaders, well-wishers and members of the public to consider her plight and offer assistance before the situation worsens.
