UDA leaders in Kitutu Chache South ask President Ruto for more roads in Kisii

United Democratic Alliance (UDA) leaders in Kitutu Chache South Constituency have asked President William Ruto to increase development projects in Kisii County, particularly road construction.

Geoffrey Isaboke, elected secretary of UDA in the constituency, thanked the President for projects in the county, including the stadium, roads and Nyambera projects. He said construction had also started at Nyakoe Market, while cancer-related initiatives were progressing.

“I want to thank our President for considering Kisii in terms of development, like right now our stadium, Nyambera and roads. At Nyakoe Market, the contractors are on site, and our cancer programme is in progress,” Isaboke said.

He appealed for a road linking Jokivila, Getare, Nyatieko and Nyakoe, saying residents had already requested it.

“There is a road that we requested, Jokivila, Getare, Nyatieko and Nyakoe. Please give us that road,” he said.

Isabela Ndemo, elected to represent women from Kitutu Central Ward, also welcomed the projects. She said the meeting gave leaders a chance to appreciate the President’s development efforts.

Dr Felix Atisa, a delegate representing Nyakoe Ward, called for unity among UDA members and urged those not yet registered with the party to join. He said the constituency had agreed to speak with one voice as the party strengthens its grassroots leadership.

Caleb Ondieki, the UDA county administrator, said he attended to guide the elected delegates after the party elections. He described it as the first delegates’ meeting in the county since the elections ended.

The leaders said they would keep engaging party leadership on residents’ needs, including infrastructure and other public services.
