SG Cleophas Malala fires in the air at misbahaving leaders within UDA.

UDA Secretary, Cleophas Malala, has issued a stern warning to leaders displaying inappropriate behavior. In a press release distributed to various media outlets, Mr. Malala specifically singled out elected officials who have demonstrated open disrespect towards the leadership of the UDA Party.

“I am particularly addressing the recent public statements and actions of Githunguri Member of Parliament Gathoni wa Muchomba, Oscar Sudi (Kapseret), and Mutahi Kahiga (Nyeri Governor). Your recent behavior not only undermines the unity of the party but also shows disrespect to the leadership you have pledged to uphold,” read a portion of the press release.

The warning also extends to Cabinet Secretaries who have been involved in political activities rather than focusing on their official duties as members of the executive branch. Mr. Malala reminded them of the need for neutrality and nonpartisanship in their positions.

Among those singled out for their misconduct are Moses Kuria (Public Service) and Kipchumba Murkomen (Roads).

“Your primary duty is to serve the people and not to engage in political activities. If you believe otherwise, I urge you to resign from your position and fully immerse yourself in politics,” stated the Secretary.

These warnings come amidst escalating tensions within the ruling party, highlighting the deepening divisions within the UDA party.
