Celebrated Ohangla maestro Emma Jalamo lashed at journalsits over what he termed as irresponsible reporting of events that procedded demise of Sheila Wegesha.

Speaking at the burial of the slain beauty queen at her first husband’s home in Nyalkinyi, Homa Bay County, Jalamo castigated journalists who described the deceased as “Mchezaji hodari wa ohangla” loosely translated as ardent ohangla dancer.

“It is absurd that the reporters constantly referred to the late Wegesha as Mchezaji ohangla hodari, even when the family is mourning,” said infuriated artist.

The late Wegesha parted ways with her first husband and cohabited with embattled businessman Jack Bambo.

Also speaking during the burial, the banafide husband Samwel Odoyo, who is a police officer attached at Kasagam police station confirmed that he was the husband of the late Wegesha.

“Whatever Jack did is unmanly. There is a reason we are created as men, killing a woman is just justifiable under any circumstance,” said Mr Odoyo.

It is suspected that Sheila, aged 38, was killed on Thursday May 9, morning before her body was found in bed hours later in the Hill View estate.

Police reported that her 18-year-old daughter stumbled upon her lifeless body in bed before raising an alarm.
