NYATIKE: The suspect is reported to have inherited the mother after passing of her husband according to the Luo traditional practices.

When the mother had gone to run some errands, the step father did the beastly act on her.

The suspect is currently detained at Karungu police station awaiting further investigation and arraignment in court. 

Nyatike sub county police commander, Dorothy Migarusha, assured the public that a thorough investigation is underway to ensure the man faces the full force of the law. 

“The matter is under police investigation and the suspect will be arraigned in court,” Migarusha said.

Ass Chief Machel further emphasized the local administration’s commitment to tackling the growing issue of child defilement.

“We are going to ensure that legal action is taken against anybody found guilty,” he declared. 

The incident has left the Adugo community deeply disturbed. Many are calling for stricter enforcement of laws protecting children and harsher punishments for perpetrators of such heinous crimes.
