Authorities are currently investigating the unexpected passing of an elderly man, whose body was found inside an unfinished building.

The deceased, aged 58, was a familiar figure in the local community and is believed to have hailed from Turkana County. It’s been reported that he had been dealing with health issues prior to his demise.

According to a police report, the body was discovered by Tabu Owinyo, the chairman of Barkanyango Market, during his regular patrol of the area.

The unidentified man, suspected to be from Turkana, was found deceased inside a partially constructed rental property located at the heart of the market center.

“The body of an unidentified individual, believed to be a Turkana male adult around 58 years old, was discovered by Tabu Owinyo, chairman of Barkanyango Market, inside an incomplete rental house within the market center,” the incident report, stated.

Following the discovery, the deceased’s remains were transported to the Bondo sub-county mortuary pending further investigation.
