Lady arraigned in court for beating husband

BONDO: A lady who allegedly assaulted her husband after a misunderstanding was arraigned before a Bondo Magistrate Court.

Ms Sharon Achieng 36 had been detained a day by police officers after she inflicted serious pain on her husband.

She pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Contrary to the expectation, Ms Achieng, after seriously assaulting her husband, she ran to the police station to report that she was the victim.

While the officer in charge was recording he statement, according to a Police incident report, a boda boda operator arrived carrying the husband who was bleeding profusely.

“While her report was being booked by the report office personnel of the day, a boda boda taxi arrived at the station carrying the husband who had visible serious cut wound on the shoulder and was literally supporting the affected limb with his other hand. Considering the extent of injuries suffered, the boda boda rider was advised to rush the victim who was bleeding heavily to Bondo Sub-County hospital for emergency medication,” read the police incident report recorded at Bondo Police station.

The victim was identified as Fredrick Omondi Miruka; he is currently recuperating at Bondo sub-county hospital.
