A man pours sulphuric acid on another after a quarrel

Police in Rarieda sub-county are detaining a man accused of attempting to kill an M-Kopa agent using sulphuric acid.

The suspect, identified as Stephen Auma, allegedly attacked the victim with the intention of causing grievous harm.

According to the police report, Auma is currently in custody and will assist in ongoing investigations.

Meanwhile, the victim, identified as Tom Wasike, is fighting for his life in the High Dependency Unit (HDU) at a hospital in Kisumu.

Wasike was initially taken to Madiany sub-county hospital and later referred to Kisumu for specialized treatment.

The police are investigating to unravel what might have prompted such a heinous act.
