The entertainment industry in Kenya is mourning the untimely death of one of their own, Stephen Kazungu popularly known as DJ Skratch1, who passed away in Nairobi. His sudden demise has plunged friends and relatives into mourning.
Renowned Genge tone artist Nonini expressed his grief on his X account, mourning the loss of his friend.
“So sorry my brother! We as your friends should have known better and we should have spoken more and understood each other better! Pole sana, Rest well,” posted Nonini on his X handle.
Though the cause of death remains unknown, on June 28, the late entertainer DJ Skratch1 posted a picture of the Gen Zs who were killed by police bullets during the demonstrations.
His passing adds to a tragic list of entertainers who have lost their lives in 2024, including Njambi Koikai, Charles Ouda, Fred Omondi, and Brian Chira.
