Journalist and social media personality Scophine Aoko, popularly known as Maverick Aoko, has shared a heartbreaking account of her recent encounter with law enforcement, which led to a miscarriage.

Ms. Aoko, who was released on a cash bail of Sh100,000, took to her X handle (formerly Twitter) to express her grief and frustration.

In a deeply emotional post, she revealed that she lost her baby due to the rough treatment she received during her arrest.

“Exactly at a time like this last week… I was arrested so roughly, I lost my baby just for saying Ruto f*s Tuya. I’m lucky. Wengi wanauliwa,”** read her post, sparking a wave of mixed reactions from Kenyans.
