President William Ruto will not win the 2027 election, making history as the first one term president, Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has said.
According to Kalonzo, the president has not only failed to address pressing issues affecting Kenyans but also failed to fulfill promises made during campaigns.
Speaking in Machakos county, the former vice president confirmed that he will be in the ballot come 2027, and that it was time for him to take the lead.
“When we tell people Ruto will be a one-term they start disputing saying this will not happen. The time when your vote matters has come and Kenyans should not lose hope,” said Kalonzo.
Former Kiambu governor Ferdinand Waititu who spoke at the same event regretted supporting Ruto in 2022.
Waititu said that the Kenya Kwanza regime has turned its back on those who supported it and assured Kalonzo of his unconditional support.
Kalonzo , whom is eyeing the top seat in 2027, has been warming up to the impeached former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua working to woo the mount Kenya region.
Lawyer Ndegwa Njiiru confirmed the Kalonzo-Gachagua teaming up on Saturday when he said that the next government will include Gachagua.
“There is a friend who stood with us called Kalonzo. His MPs voted no. We are going to join hands with him,” he added.
He has teamed up with a section of the opposition coalition including DAP-K’s Eugene Wamalwa and Jubilee’s Jeremiah Kioni.
