Police in Kakamega arrest violent robber Jackson Mwangi Wangechi

Police in Kakamega North have arrested a suspected violent robber, Jackson Mwangi Wangechi, 38.

In his three separate hideouts, police discovered assorted weapons and other instruments used for felonies.

The National Police Service (NPS) officers, conducting an intelligence-led operation, ambushed Mwangi at Season’s Club in Malava township.

They then proceeded to his house, finding implements used for breaking and government stores.

Recovered items included assorted military gear, imitation pistols, magazines with rubber bullets, machetes, suspected stolen mobile phones, bunches of keys, and pocket phones.

The team then searched Mwangi’s two other houses in the area, finding more items.

In his Mazda Demio, registration number KDL 013B, they found a panga, a sword, and handcuff keys.
