Bunyala Sub-County detectives are pursuing Edwin Ogolla and Denis Asabu. They are wanted for the assault of a minor, captured on camera and widely shared on social media.
Children’s officers presented the minor at Port Victoria Police Station. The assault occurred three months ago at the minor’s home in Musoma.
The minor’s uncle, Edwin Ogolla, was seen on camera manhandling him. The child’s father recorded the incident without any remorse.
The minor suffered serious injuries and did not receive immediate medical attention.
When the incident was discovered, children’s officers took the minor to the hospital. He was treated and a medical form (P3) was filled.
Detectives in Bunyala recorded witness statements and began pursuing the suspects. Ogolla and Asabu are believed to be hiding in a neighboring country.
Pragmatic measures are being taken to bring them to justice.
