Muhoroni Youth Chairman Moses Adagala has accused some delegates of betraying former Football Kenya Federation (FKF) President Nick Mwendwa and Vice President Doris Petra in the just-concluded FKF elections.
Mr Adagala alleges that the delegates accepted financial incentives from the duo but failed to support their ticket at the ballot.
Adagala, a vocal supporter of the Mwendwa-Petra team, did not hold back in condemning the delegates, describing their actions as dishonest and detrimental to football’s integrity.
“It is deeply unpleasant when someone takes hard-earned money with no intention of fulfilling their promise,” said Adagala.
“Such behavior is unbecoming of football administrators. These individuals are con-men, and their actions will catch up with them, if not now, then in the future.”
The Muhoroni Youth chairman, with over a decade of experience in football administration, lamented the trend of delegates prioritizing personal financial gain over the broader interests of the sport.
His remarks highlight the growing suspicion that some delegates trade their votes for monetary rewards during FKF elections.
Despite Adagala’s support, the Mwendwa-Petra ticket ultimately lost to Hussein Mohammed in a tightly contested election.
