Bondo: A 25-year-old man, Linford Namai, died while receiving treatment at Bondo Sub-County Hospital after a brutal attack by suspected thugs in Bondo town last night.

Namai, a recent graduate of Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University, was one of five people assaulted and hacked by a gang that reportedly terrorized residents around 8:00 pm.

Gang Attack in Bondo

Bondo Sub-County Police Commander, Mr. Robert Aboki, confirmed the incident. He stated that police received reports of the gang’s activities and dispatched officers immediately.

However, the suspects fled on motorbikes before the officers arrived.

At the scene, police found five victims suffering from severe injuries. Two, including Namai, were critically injured and rushed to the hospital.

Sadly, Namai succumbed to his injuries early this morning.

Gang Linked to Boda Boda Operators

According to Mr. Aboki, preliminary investigations suggest the gang includes some boda boda operators.

Efforts are underway to arrest the suspects and put an end to their terror in Bondo town.

Residents are calling for swift action to restore safety in the area, as authorities intensify their crackdown on criminal gangs.
