A new survey finding by Infotrak Research and Consulting has established that 65 percent of Migori residents support Governor Ochillo Ayacko’s administration, marking an increase from the 57.6 percent approval he received at the ballot in 2022.
The survey, which assessed county and national leaders’ performance, asked residents to compare the county’s development since devolution in 2013.
65 percent said the county was better, while 25 percent felt it had worsened, and 10 percent said it remained unchanged.

While receiving an award from Infotrak at Norfolk Hotel, Migori County Secretary Oscar Olima and Assistant Deputy Director of Public Communication Denice Wasike thanked residents for their support.
“We thank Migori residents for this recognition and we will continue to be committed in improving our services to benefit all,“ said Dr Olima.
Governor Ayacko was elected in August 2022 with 175,226 votes, securing a 49,050-vote lead over his closest competitor, John Pesa of DAP-K.
At the time, only 64.9 percent of registered voters participated in the county election.
The latest survey indicates Dr Ayacko’s approval has grown by 7.4 percent in just two and a half years, reflecting increased public confidence in his leadership.
