Outrage as Video Shows Police Officer Dancing After Allegedly Shooting Protester

Kenyans online have reacted with fury and disgust after a viral video emerged showing a police officer dancing moments after allegedly shooting a protester during the Majengo demonstrations.

The disturbing footage captures 26-year-old David Muthui lying on the ground, apparently writhing in pain, while a uniformed officer, armed with a rifle, performs a taunting dance.

At one point, the officer signals protesters to approach while flaunting his firearm before moving his waist back and forth in a provocative manner.

According to official police reports, Muthui succumbed to his injuries shortly after the incident.

Initial findings suggest he was shot in the stomach, and his family is now awaiting postmortem results, which were conducted on Friday, March 7.

The video has sparked widespread condemnation, with many Kenyans calling for accountability and justice for Muthui.
