Teen Confesses to Killing Mother in Molo Over Identity of Biological Father

MOLO: A 16-year-old boy in Nyakiambi, Molo sub-county, Nakuru County, has confessed to brutally killing his mother following a disagreement over the identity of his biological father.

According to a police report from Elburgon Police Station, the tragic incident unfolded on Friday afternoon, July 25, when the teenager, identified by initials A.G., confronted his mother and demanded to know who his biological father was.

When she declined to reveal the information, the minor reportedly struck her on the head multiple times, killing her on the spot.

The matter came to light on Sunday after the woman’s brother reported the suspected murder to police.

Officers from Elburgon Police Station and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Molo responded to the scene and found the woman’s body inside her house.

Investigations revealed that the teenager, a Form Three dropout, had attempted to conceal the crime.

On Saturday, July 26, he dug a shallow grave inside an adjacent structure within the family compound, allegedly planning to bury his mother the following morning.

The minor was arrested on Sunday and is currently in police custody. The woman’s body has been moved to Elburgon Level IV Hospital mortuary for preservation and post-mortem examination.

Authorities have launched further investigations into the incident, which has shocked the local community.
