Many Deaths: Police investigating a series of deaths within the country

CRIME: Police are investigating a string of deaths reported in different parts of the country, ranging from family disputes to suspected murders and tragic accidents.

In Ringa village, Homa Bay County, a land dispute between two brothers turned deadly after 30-year-old Lawrence Obonyo was killed during a confrontation on Friday morning.

His body was found in the sitting room of their house shortly after the fight. The suspect, his brother, fled the scene as residents attempted to confront him. Police have launched a manhunt.

In a separate incident in Ndiru, Ndhiwa, also in Homa Bay County, the body of 32-year-old Judith Moraa was discovered naked along a footpath. Police said the woman had bruises on her thighs, buttocks, and hands, indicating she had been assaulted before her death.

Her body has been taken to the mortuary for a postmortem examination as investigations continue.

Elsewhere, in Kapko village, Nandi County, Robert Ouko Obonyo was attacked by unknown assailants on his way home from work.

He sustained multiple injuries and collapsed by the roadside, where his body was later recovered. Police said the motive of the attack remains unclear, and no arrests have been made.

Meanwhile, in Wamuini “B” village, Kimilili, Bungoma County, a 16-year-old girl died after slipping into a 65-foot borehole. Her body was retrieved and taken to the mortuary. A man who was with her at the time of the incident has been arrested for questioning.

Police say investigations into all the cases are ongoing.
