Murang’a man sets girlfriend’s house on fire for cheating

MURANG’A: In a bizarre case of “if I can’t have you, no one can,” a man in Murang’a turned a rented apartment into a death trap after discovering his girlfriend in the arms of another man.

The intruder, who allegedly paid the rent for his woman, the very roof that was over their heads, didn’t just walk away.

Instead, he reportedly locked the door from the inside and set the room on fire, attempting a double-murder-suicide.

According to Murang’a County Commissioner Hassan Bule, the life-and-death struggle moved from the flames to the front yard.

While the house was being consumed by fire, the three individuals continued to fight until the sound of police sirens sent them scattering in different directions.

Police are now searching for the trio, who left behind nothing but a smoldering ruin.
