Come and support Dr Oburu, Atandi tells Linda Mwananchi splinter group

SIAYA: Alego-Usonga Member of Parliament, Samuel Atandi has challenged the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party renegades to reconsider their stand and support the party leadership.

Atandi said that the renegades stand to lose their positions should they not come back to the fold and recognize the leadership of Dr Oburu Oginga.

He was speaking at Agoro Oyombe primary school in Alego-Usonga constituency after officially opening the renovated tuition blocks at the school which were funded by the national government constituency development fund.

“There are a few people in our community who are walking the opposite direction” said the legislator adding “we want to urge them to come bac because the wave that is coming will sweep them out of power.”

Atandi said that Nyanza region is fully behind president William Ruto and the broad-based government and as leaders, they will work hard to ensure that the president gets all the votes come next year’s general elections.

He said that the local residents were happy with the performance of the broad-based government that has initiated more development projects.

The legislator cautioned Kenyans to be wary of people who are promising many things that cannot be delivered during this period that politicians are preparing for elections.

“I want our people to remain steadfast in ODM” he said.

On development, Atandi said he will strive to ensure that infrastructure in schools in his constituency was improved.

“I am committed and determined to ensure that all our schools have modern infrastructure,” he said.
