People’s Liberation Party (PLP) leader Martha Karua has officially opened the party’s Kisii County branch office and called on members to remain united as they prepare for future political campaigns.
Speaking during the opening ceremony, Karua congratulated the Kisii branch for establishing the office and urged members to work together with one common purpose.
She said the party would continue reaching out to Kenyans through peaceful campaigns focused on policies and development rather than insults and division.
Karua also condemned political violence and the use of goons during political activities, saying such actions have no place in a democratic society.
“We will continue our campaigns peacefully and with love. We will sell our policies, not insults or division, and people should stop goonism,” she said.
She added that Kenya belongs to all its citizens and urged political leaders and supporters to promote peace as the country prepares for future elections.
